I've only heard good things about the store before and then bought a double cheeseburger with Angus Beff in one of their food trucks for a whole 9.50 €. It tasted good, but it was more of a bite and reminded me of a burger from my childhood. It also looked horrible, "as if I had made it". I was amazed that at a price of 9.50 € for a miniature burger there was no small salad or fries. A full-grown man would need around 4-6 double cheeseburgers from Johns Burger to be really full, and almost € 50 is a bit too steep for me to be full. So next time I'll do it myself with fresh Angus Beff and I'll probably get double that for half the price.

It's been a long time since I've eaten such a delicious burger. Unfortunately a bit small but the portion of chips was plentiful.

Sorry guys. For 10 € I think this burnt piece of minced meat is an absolute cheek. You won't get full from it, and that with the roasted aromas is only possible to a certain extent. Thanks, never again.

We went to John's Burger for the first time today and immediately loved the great atmosphere. The staff are super nice and helpful. The burger or the menu could be put together by yourself. The products all come from the Kiel area - a big plus! Everything was very tasty! Highly recommend.

The quality of the meat has decreased significantly after the quarantine. Too much fat in it and it doesn't taste like a normal burger but rather fat. It's a shame, I've been eating here now and then for the last three years, and now I have to say, I'll never again.

The food is tremendous, the ambiance fitting, and they usually have good music on. There's varying specials, often American cuisine staples, so it's worth it to pop back in here every once in a while to see what is going on. A friend of mine also said that "the ceilings have just the right height" so if you care about that now you know.

Nice staff and the food is served quickly. But I think the music is too loud to eat. In addition, the vegetarian selection could be larger. The continuous address in English is also a bit silly.

High quality burger with high quality beef / pork with various variations according to your own taste. Relatively expensive and long waiting time, which seems necessary due to the fresh preparation. The citizen with side dishes is distorted in the Canadian flair with bistro character in very lively surroundings or at tables in front of the "restaurant". A culinary delight. Definitely recommendable!

Still sitting here and enjoying. After a quite chaotic start, since it was for me not obvious, how to get the table and order, the establishment is simply awesome. Not that they speak English, in comparison with the others around, but that they really take care. Fast food way of ordering, paying and receiving the orders is only minor problem for people who love beer like me. Food itself is extraordinary, from the buns to the patties, everything fits and tastes awesome. Service, as much as you get to the contact with them, is nice and fluent. Keep up the awesome work!

Delicious food! The best burgers in the whole region! Top quality meat, great atmosphere and everything prepared with a heart. A burger specially prepared for people with lactose intolerance - the best I have ever eaten.

Very nicely designed. Delicious burgers, also vegetarian. There is also Fritz Kola, who is always the best anyway. I can recommend it.

Super tasty, good meat, crispy fries. The concept is unique (order in English, etc.), but very charming. The food isn't as cheap as classic fast food burger chains, but it's definitely worth the price.

Food was very expensive, you could only talk properly in English. Menus all in English. But the food was good.

Best burger in town. Great atmosphere, great team and very good burgers. I still know John's from the keel line and have been there regularly since the shop was opened on Gutenbergstrasse. If you're not into chichi, John's burgers are the best in Kiel. Anyone looking for creative burgers with peanut sauce, grilled sauerkraut, beetroot or cranberry cream cheese mayonnaise is definitely in the wrong place. There is the classic beefburger, 140, 200 (Hüttener) or 220 grams (Empire), medium instead of fried. What more do you want?

One star, because 1. unfriendly staff, 2. they only speak English, 3. too few seats, 4. ordering is like Russian roulette, because you don't know whether you have to eat standing up or do you get a seat ... die We couldn't test burgers because no seats were organized or the shop simply doesn't need to take care of its guests. What a shame !!

Tator tots are great, burgers with local meats are juicy. Many choices for toppings.

We came especially from near Schleswig to have a good burger and we were more than satisfied with the food and the staff !!! Despite the huge rush, we got our food very quickly! No comparison at all to the otherwise known chains. We'll be back 100%!

Best burger in Germany. That everything is locally sourced from excellent producers makes all the difference both in terms of culinary pleasure and sustainability. I also like the relaxed atmosphere of the place - really, it's a must when you're in town and I never miss it when up north. My favorites are the pure organic beef and the pulled pork burger with a side of slaw, sweet potato fries and a local beer.

My friend and I came here tonight for burgers on the recommendation from another friend. We both said this was one of the best burgers of our lives, the people working were so fun and happy, the music was awesome, and one of their employees was moving away after that day so we took a big photo with shots all around! Best night ever in Kiel!

The black angus burger was one of the best ever tasted. The veggie burger however needs improvement, especially for its price.

Let's just put it this way, if I was to have a last meal, it would be a filthy Burger from John's with some incredible chilli cheese fries. The food here is so damn good and would cure your hangover right up after a meal and it sends the taste buds into a state of euphoria.

Real authentic American Burger!

The Burger-Place-To-Be... John's Burgers is a great place, produces locally, while "partying" unbelievably on-fire (every day)... Moreover, J.B. grills the most tasty - most satisfying - and most assumingly: the freshest, juiciest Burgers in Kiel-Region! (for the record: our friday-burger-night group has tried all possible Burgers in Kiel...) Finally we got "stuck" with John's Burgers and loud music, but honestly - why eat quietly? Is it an ADD if you're crazy for Burgers, so you go - check out the best place for Burgers...? Nope. ...but yes, we love crowded places and good food! THE PLUS: Meanwhile one can find and eat John's Burgers in the whole city of Kiel, luckily.

Best burgers I ever had in Germany ?. (Beside those made by myselfe ?) The combinaton of beef and pork garanties juicy burgers. Sweet potato fries are delicious.

Not a pleasant experience and impression after I have witnessed as a woman at the counter swore and screamed at the guy after he asked if he can pay using a smartphone instead of cash. I did not get what is wrong with her, It was very rude, the guy stayed silent and frozen, he certainly did not expect such a reply. I do not about him but I will never return here. Not Recommend!

Rudest barmaid ever totally ruined the experience. The meat is good despite the cold buns. The rest of the staff is friendly.

This place has restored my faith that Kiel can cook. The burgers are of the highest quality. Patty was fresh and cooked to perfection. Well seasoned. Coleslaw had a lovely crunch and coconut flavour to it. French fries in large potions and crispy. Excellent customer service and quality. Keep it guys.
